I'm not going to lie, i haven't been genuinely happy in a very long time and the first semester of school, here at UA, didn't help. Its amazing though, just how things have turned around. You can call it luck, chance, or just good timing, but at the moment I'm feeling pretty damn blessed.
First week back started with a bang as i entered all my new classes and sat next to this guy, Brian Kimball, as there were no other open seats in my math course. To my surprise, not only was this dude a returning upperclassmen to the class with all the know how to pass the class, but he too was also a journalism major. Furthermore, he told me he was editor of the no2 school newspaper in the states, and he thought he could get me a job as a sportswriter.I proceeded in applying and testing for the position of a potential writer and have high hopes to receive good news in the coming days. My first official break in the world of journalism. The rest of the week continued to follow, and i finally got to dive into my first journalism course, "Principles in Journalism" and the class blew my expectations clear out of the water. Mark my words, Professor Cuillier will be a very influential person in my coming years.. To make an awesome close to the "magic week" in pure Mccandless style, my sort of long lost friend, Klay Donaldson threw me flat on my butt, as he acknowledged that he too, wanted to rekindle our outdated friendship. I think, as lame as it sounds, that Klay grew up a lot today, and i'm excited to see how this pans out!
Again, some are gonna read this and just think its all in good timing, but i really do feel 250%, that God is just trying to open my eyes to just how great this life can be. In no way have i earned any of this weeks blessings, but i have received, and am thankful nonetheless. This life is good, because God is good.
